RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTER-MUNICIPAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF YONKERS AND THE COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER RELATED TO THE LIVABLE COMMUNITY REGIONAL HOST SERVICES, PROGRAM YEAR 2025ENTER TITLE

WHEREAS, New York State Office of the Aging has provided the County of Westchester (the “County”) with certain grant funding for being a Livable Community Regional Host, which the County desires to pass through to the City of Yonkers (the “City”); and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into that certain inter-municipal agreement (an “IMA”) with the County to accept/implement said grant funding; and
WHEREAS, New York State General Municipal Law Article 5-G, Section 119-o, authorizes municipal corporations and districts to enter into agreements for the performance of various functions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City be and hereby is authorized to enter into an IMA with the County to accept funding in an approximate amount of $20,000.00 for Livable Community Regional Host Services PY 2025, with no required City match.
RESOLVED, that the above constitutes a “Type II” action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, which is an action determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore does not require further environment review; and be it further
RESOLVED, that Mayor or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute all instruments and take all actions reasonable and necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof; and be it further
RESOLVED, that this resolution will take effect immediately.
