BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP NORMAN, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA-ISAAC, DIAZ AND HODGES:
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY HOUSING IMPLEMENTATION FUND (HIF) - 636 SOUTH BROADWAY - AFFORDABLE HOUSING SITE DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,050,000, AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027.

The City of Yonkers hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The Westchester County Housing Implementation Fund (HIF) has authorized grant funding of $4,050,000, to the City of Yonkers, acting by and through the City of Yonkers Engineering Department towards the 636 South Broadway - Affordable Housing Site Development Grant Program.
Section 2: The Zoning Board acted as the Lead Agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), classified the Project as a Type I action, and after undertaking coordinated review, adopted a Negative Declaration of Environmental Non-Significance for the Development on February 21, 2023.
Section 3: The Mayor or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute all instruments and take all actions reasonable and necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof; and be it further
Section 4: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2026/2027 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Engineering Department, as follows:

Section 5: This Special Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
