RESOLUTION
BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, MAJORITY WHIP NORMAN, COUNCILMEMBERS DIAZ, PINEDA-ISAAC AND HODGES.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INITIATION OF THE REVIEW
PROCESS FOR THE DISCONTINUANCE AND REMOVAL OF THE SOUTHERNMOST PORTION OF RIDGEVIEW AVENUE BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF THE PETITIONER'S PROPERTY AND ENDING AT THE SOUTHERN END OF RIDGEVIEW AVENUE WHICH PORTION IS AN UNIMPROVED "PAPER" STREET FROM THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF YONKERS.
WHEREAS, the owner of the premises known as 10 Ridgeview Avenue has filed a Petition requesting to discontinue and de-map, the following portion of the proposed street to be discontinued and removed from the Official Map of the City of Yonkers (the "Official City Map") more specifically the southernmost portion of Ridgeview Avenue beginning at the southern edge of the Petitioner's property and ending at the southern end of Ridgeview Avenue which portion is an unimproved "paper" street as depicted and described more fully in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference (the "Proposed Discontinued Street"); and
WHEREAS, initiating and conducting a round robin review process whereby information is gathered by various departments of the City of Yonkers (the "City") to determine whether a certain street may be properly discontinued and removed from the Official City Map as well as referral to the Planning Board are required by Section 5.2 of the City Council Rules prior to such discontinuance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Yonkers hereby authorizes and directs (a) the City Clerk to initiate the round robin review process for the determination of the discontinuance and removal from the Official City Map of the Proposed Discontinued Street; and (b) the City Clerk shall refer a copy of this Resolution to the City Planning Board for review and recommendation with respect to t...
