A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE NYS ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITIES CORPORATION (EFC) RESILIENT WATERSHEDS GRANT (RWG) PROGRAM TOWARDS TROUBLESOME BROOK RESILIENCY IMPROVEMENTS FOR $6,666,667 AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/2026.

The City of Yonkers in City Council convened, hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) through its Resilient Watersheds Grant (RWG) Program has authorized grant funding of $6,666,667, to the City of Yonkers, acting by and through the City of Yonkers Engineering Department towards Troublesome Brook Resiliency Improvements.
Section 2: The City is required to provide a matching share of 10%, approximately $666,667, however, due to anticipated additional costs, the City shall contribute $743,333 in the event additional funds are required, which shall bring the total project estimate to $7,410,000.
Section 3: The above constitutes an “Unlisted” action under SEQRA and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617. Upon review of an Environmental Assessment Form, the City Council determined no further review was necessary and issued a Negative Declaration herewith.
Section 4: The Mayor of the City or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute any and all instruments and take such other actions as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof.
Section 5: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Engineering Department, as follows:
