GENERAL ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF GENERAL ORDINANCE 10-2024 IN REGARDS TO SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING PARKING REQUIREMENTS

The City Council of the City of Yonkers does hereby ordain and enact as follows:

Section 1. Purpose, Intent, and Findings
The City Council of the City of Yonkers (the "City Council"), by General Ordinance 10-2024 adopted September 24, 2024, amended Chapter 43 of the Code of the City of Yonkers, specifically Section 43-8 of the Zoning Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Definitions of terms", Table 43-4 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Schedule of Parking Requirements" and Table 43-10 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Downtown Parking and Loading Ratios".

Section 2. Extension of Effective Date
The City Council hereby extends the effective date of General Ordinance 10-2024 from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026. All other sections, terms, definitions and amendments set forth in General Ordinance 10-2024 shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 3. New York State Environmental Quality Review Act
The extension of the effective date of General Ordinance 10-2024 is classified as a Type II action under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act and its implementing regulations. Type II actions are determined to not have a significant adverse effect on the environment and therefore do not require further environmental review.

Section 4. Severability
If any section, subsection, clause, phrase or other portion of this ordinance is, for any reason, declared invalid, in whole or in part, by any court, agency, commission, legislative body or other authority of competent jurisdiction, the portion of the ordinance declared to be invalid will be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent portion and the declaration...
