A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDS FROM WESTCHESTER COUNTY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000,000 PURSUANT TO AN INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENT FOR FERNBROOK PARK IMPROVEMENTS, AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/2026.

The City of Yonkers in City Council convened, hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: Westchester County and the City of Yonkers have previously entered into a Intermunicipal Agreement by which the County has authorized funding in an amount not to exceed $15,000,000 to the City of Yonkers for the construction and improvement of Fernbrook Park. The City shall be responsible for all costs exceeding the County’s contribution.
Section 2: This proposed development was determined to be an Unlisted Action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and the City Council previously adopted a negative declaration (Resolution 196-2024) for the project.
Section 3: The Mayor of the City or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute any and all instruments and take such other actions as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof.
Section 4: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Engineering Department, as follows:

Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
