SPECIAL ORDINANCE
BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP NORMAN, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA-ISAAC, DIAZ AND HODGES:
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDING FROM THE NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY AND THE DORMITORY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF NY (“DASNY”) COMMUNITY CAPITAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (“CCAP”). IN THE AMOUNT OF $125,000 AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27

The City of Yonkers hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The City of Yonkers has been awarded $125,000 in grant funds from DASNY’s Community Capital Assistance Program (CCAP) to fund the purchase of 2 passenger vans to be used for home delivered meal delivery, and to transport senior citizens to nutrition centers, medical appointments, and food shopping.
Section 2: The above constitutes a “Type II” action under SEQRA and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, which constitute an action determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore requiring no further environmental review.
Section 3: The Mayor of the City or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute any and all instruments and take such other actions as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof.
Section 4: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2026-27 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the City of Yonkers Office for the Aging, as follows:

Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
