RESOLUTION
BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP NORMAN, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA-ISAAC, DIAZ AND HODGES:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENT WITH WESTCHESTER COUNTY FOR THE “TEEN RECREATION CENTER PROGRAM” FOR $20,568.00

WHEREAS, the County of Westchester (“County”) has awarded the City of Yonkers (“City”) with certain pass-through grant funding from the New York State Office of Children and family Services for the Teen Recreation Center Program Grant (“Grant”) to provide a free drop in recreation program for youth 13-17 years of age with activities that include: basketball, board games, and other recreational activities; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an inter-municipal agreement (“IMA”) with the County to accept/implement said grant funding; and
WHEREAS, New York State General Municipal Law Article 5-G, Section 119-o, authorizes municipal corporations and districts to enter into agreements for the performance of various functions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City is authorized to negotiate and enter into an IMA with the County of Westchester for the payment of a sum in the approximate amount of $20,568.00 to the City for participation in the project; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the term of the IMA shall be October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the above constitutes a “Type II” action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, which is an action determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore does not require further environmental review; and be it further
RESOLVED, that Mayor or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute all instruments and take all actions reasonable and necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof; and be it further
