The City of Yonkers, in City Council convened, hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1. Chapter 95 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Water Supply” is hereby amended in part, by amending Section 95-2 entitled “Water Rates; bills” to read as follows:
§ 95-2. Water Rates; bills
The following water rates are to be used in computing the water rates in the City of Yonkers for each half of the year:
First 1,000,000 cubic feet at $5.31 $5.12 per 100 cubic feet.
Over 1,000,000 cubic feet at $5.31 $5.12 per 100 cubic feet.
All accounts shall be billed semiannually with a minimum semiannual charge of $133.30 $128.59 covering an allowance of 2,500 cubic feet. In addition, any account with a noncompliant water meter will be assessed $1000.00 $500.00 per billing cycle. For the purpose of billing for payment of the rates herein, bills for payment for any semiannual period may be prepared based upon estimated quantities.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 2026.
