A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT ISSUED BY DORMITORY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK (DASNY) THROUGH THE STATE AND MUNICIPALITIES (SAM) GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $176,724 FOR DUMPSTERS AND COMPACTOR AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/2026.

The City of Yonkers hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) through the State and Municipalities (SAM) grant has authorized grant funding of $176,724, to the City of Yonkers, acting by and through the Department of Public Works towards the purchase of dumpsters and a paper compactor for City of Yonkers Recycling Center.
Section 2: The above constitutes either a “Type II” action under SEQRA and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, or is not an action under SEQRA, both of which constitute actions determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore do not require further environment review.
Section 3: The Mayor or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute all instruments and take all actions reasonable and necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof; and be it further
Section 4: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Department of Public Works, as follows:

Section 5: This Special Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
