A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YONKERS ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY’S PLANNING BOARD TO NAME A PROPOSED SUBDIVISION STREET AT BLOCK: 4391, LOT: 435, ON THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 612 EAST GRASSY SPRAIN ROAD (“TOLL BROTHERS SUBDIVISION”), “VICTOR LANE,” IN HONOR OF VICTOR OGLEY, A YONKERS CITIZEN AND DECORATED WORLD WAR I VETERAN.

WHEREAS, on June 12, 2024, the City of Yonkers Planning Board approved an application, made by Toll Brothers, Inc., (hereinafter “Applicant”) for a Final Subdivision Plat and Planned Cluster Development on the property known as 612 East Grassy Sprain Road (also known as “Toll Brother’s Subdivision”); and
WHEREAS, thereafter, on August 7, 2024, the Applicant forwarded a request to the Planning Board to name one of the subdivision streets on the property at Block: 4391, Lot: 435, “Enclave Lane”; and
WHEREAS, at its September 11, 2024, meeting, the Planning Board, instead, issued a recommendation of the proposed street name, “Victor Lane,” in honor of Victor Ogley, a prominent Yonkers Citizen and decorated World War I veteran; and
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2024, the City’s Planning Board referred its favorable recommendation on the proposed subdivision street name, “Victor Lane,” to the Yonkers City Council for approval pursuant to Section 103-71 of the Yonkers City Code, which requires such approval “before filing the map of the subdivision with the Clerk of Westchester County”; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Yonkers City Council to accept the Planning Board’s recommendation and to publicly name the aforementioned subdivision street on the property “Victor Lane;” and
WHEREAS, the Yonkers City Council requires a public hearing to take place in order to grant such a request
.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Yonkers City Council hereby directs the Yonkers City Clerk to set a properly notified and publicized public 
hearing for the 19th day of November 2024, at 6:25 pm on the matter for consideration of the naming of the subdivision street at Block: 4391, Lot: 435, on the property known as 612 East Grassy Sprain Road, “Victor Lane,” with the appropriate signage to be thereafter installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
