RESOLUTION ADVISE AND CONSENT OF THE APPOINTMENT OF J. HELEN AGGREY AS COMMISSIONER OF HUMAN RESOURCES.

WHEREAS, Mayor Mike Spano has appointed J. Helen Aggrey to be Commissioner of Human Resources for the City of Yonkers; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Commissioner designee, most recently served as the City of Yonkers First Deputy Corporation Counsel and has over 17 years of extensive legal experience in municipal governance and regulatory affairs, including supervising and management of staff and employee relations; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Commissioner designee has all the qualifications, training, and experience to assist in the guidance, management and leadership in the Human Resources Department of the City of Yonkers; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Yonkers, the appointment of the Human Resources Commissioner is subject to the advice and consent of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Yonkers that the City Council give advice and consent to the appointment of J. Helen Aggrey as Human Resources Commissioner; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Yonkers City Council hereby gives its advice and consent to the appointment of J. Helen Aggrey as Human Resources Commissioner; and be it further
RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.
