A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 56 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF YONKERS ENTITLED “BUILDING AND ELECTRICAL CODE”

Be it enacted by the City Council of Yonkers as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 56 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Building and Electrical Code” is hereby amended, in part, by amending subsection D of §56-61 entitled “Notice to Demolish; permit” to read as follows:
§56-61. Notice to Demolish; Permit
D. Upon receipt of an application to demolish all or part of a building that was built before the year 1950 1935, the Department of Housing and Buildings shall refer said application to the Landmarks Board.
Section 2. This Local Law shall take effect pursuant to requirements of law upon filing with the Secretary of State.
