RESOLUTION
BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP NORMAN, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA -ISAAC, DIAZ AND MERANTE:

WHEREAS, Mayor Mike Spano has appointed Erwin Vazquez, to the Yonkers Board of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, to replace Jason Wilson, whose term expires on December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Erwin Vazquez is a life-long Yonkers resident with over 33 years of experience as Supervisor of Maintenance at the County of Westchester;
WHEREAS, Erwin Vazquez has years of experience in dealing with the needs of the public with issues that concern them: and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Yonkers, the appointment of a member of the Yonkers Board of Parks, Recreation and Conservation is subject to the advice and consent of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Yonkers that the City Council approve the appointment of Erwin Vazquez to the Board of Parks, Recreation and Conservation of the City of Yonkers; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Yonkers City Council hereby gives its advice and consent to the appointment of Erwin Vazquez, to the Yonkers Board of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, to fill a three-year term which expires on December 31, 2026; and be it further
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
