A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF 2023 FEMA FLOOD MITIGATION ASSISTANCE (FMA) GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE TROUBLESOME BROOK FLOOD MITIGATION SCOPING PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $510,600 AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025.

The City of Yonkers in City Council convened, hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through its Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Grant has authorized grant funding of $510,600, to the City of Yonkers, acting by and through the City of Yonkers Engineering Department towards the Troublesome Brook Flood Mitigation Scoping Project.
Section 2: FEMA will provide $459,540. The City is required to provide a $51,060 match.
Section 3: The above constitutes a "Type II" action under SEQRA and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, which constitute an action determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore requiring no further environmental review.
Section 4: The Mayor of the City or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute any and all instruments and take such other actions as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof.
Section 5: The City's Grant Budget for fiscal year 2024/2025 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Engineering Department, as follows:
