A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORTING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU IN THE AMOUNT OF $220,000.00 FOR THE 6TH GRADE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY AND AMENDING THE CITY OF YONKERS GRANT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025

The City of Yonkers hereby ordains and enacts:
Section 1: The Westchester County Youth Bureau has awarded a grant of $110,000 to the Yonkers Youth Bureau, acting by and through the City of Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation (the “City”), to fund the 6th Grade Leadership Academy.
Section 2: The City is required to provide a matching share of $110,000.
Section 3: The above constitutes a “Type II” action under SEQRA and its implementing regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, which constitute an action determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and therefore requiring no further environmental review.
Section 4: The Mayor of the City or his authorized designee is hereby empowered to execute any and all instruments and take such other actions as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes hereof.
Section 5: The City’s Grant Budget for fiscal year 2025 is hereby amended by increasing revenues and appropriations for the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation, as follows:

Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
