RESOLUTION
BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP ROBINSON, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA -ISAAC, DIAZ AND MERANTE:
Resolution authorizing the scheduling and conduct of a public hearing in accordance with Eminent Domain Procedure Law, of the proposed acquisition of the leasehold held by All County Bus, LLC, located at 76 Fernbrook Street, also known as a portion of Section 1, Block 615,Lot 1 designated on the Official Tax Map of the City of Yonkers, for the development of a waterfront park
WHEREAS, by Special Ordinance 60-2024, the City Council adopted legislation stating the desire to acquire for public or municipal purposes, more specifically, the establishment of the waterfront park at Fernbrook Street specifically located at 76 Fernbrook Street also known and designated on the official tax map of the City of Yonkers as a portion of Section 1, Block 615, Lot 1; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Eminent Domain Procedure Law, the City Council desires to schedule and conduct a public hearing to consider the acquisition of said portion of Fernbrook Street in furtherance of the establishment of the waterfront park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to and in accordance with Eminent Domain Procedure Law, and in furtherance of the foregoing, the City Council hereby authorizes the scheduling and conduct of the Public Hearing before the City Council on March 11, 2025 at 6:30 pm at City Council Chambers, City Hall, 40 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York 10701 to solicit comments and input from the public; and be further
RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
