RESOLVED, by the City Council of The City of Yonkers, in meeting assembled:
That the settlement by the Corporation Counsel in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS and 00/100 ($8,500.00), in the matter entitled “SIDORELA KOLA, Plaintiff, v. THE CITY OF YONKERS and YONKERS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, Defendants,” for personal injuries arising out of an incident on January 17, 2020, wherein pedestrian plaintiff was struck by a non-city vehicle while crossing Cricklewood North, Yonkers, NY, causing alleged personal injuries. The claim against The City of Yonkers is based on an alleged inoperative streetlight and dangerous roadway, and the same is hereby approved and the Comptroller of the City of Yonkers is directed to draw his warrant in the amount of Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($8,500.00) in favor of said plaintiff and her attorneys THE CAKANI LAW FIRM, P.C., 111 John Street, Suite 1070, New York, New York 10038.
