RESOLUTION - ADVICE AND CONSENT TO THE APPOINTMENT OF TIMOTHY HODGES TO THE PLANNING BOARD.

WHEREAS, Mayor Mike Spano has appointed Timothy Hodges, to the Planning Board, to replace John Larkin, whose term expired on December 31, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Timothy Hodges is a life-long Yonkers resident and community activist who provided over thirty years of distinguished service as a member of the Yonkers Police Department, retiring as a First Deputy Police Chief in 2020, and currently serving in the role of Head of Security for St. John’s Hospital in Yonkers;
WHEREAS, Timothy Hodges has years of experience in dealing with the needs of the public with issues that concern them: and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Yonkers, the appointment of a member of the Planning Board of the City of Yonkers is subject to the advice and consent of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Yonkers that the City Council approve the appointment of Timothy Hodges to the Planning Board of the City of Yonkers; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Yonkers City Council hereby gives its advice and consent to the appointment of Timothy Hodges, to the Planning Board, for a three-year term which will expire on December 31, 2027; and be it further
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
