SETTLEMENT BY LAW DEPARTMENT - MICHAEL COHEN - $70,000.00- PLAINTIFF ALLEGEDLY SUSTAINED PERSONAL INJURIES WHEN A DOG, WHICH HE ADOPTED FROM THE CITY OF YONKERS ANIMAL SHELTER ATTACKED THE PLAINTIFF ON THE RIDE HOME.

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Yonkers, in meeting assembled:
That the settlement by the Corporation Counsel in the amount of SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($70,000.00) of the action entitled, "MICHAEL COHEN, Plaintiff”, against “CITY OF YONKERS and YONKERS ANIMAL SHELTER, Defendants", alleging a personal injury claim arising on June 27, 2023 when a dog, which had been adopted from the Yonkers Animal Shelter, allegedly attacked the plaintiff on the ride home, causing injuries to plaintiff’s left arm and hand, be and the same hereby is approved, and the Comptroller of The City of Yonkers is directed to draw his warrant in favor of “Michael Cohen and The Paris Law Group, P.C., as attorneys” in the amount of SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS and 00/100 ($70,000.00).
