BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT COLLINS-BELLAMY, MAJORITY LEADER RUBBO, MAJORITY WHIP ROBINSON, MINORITY LEADER BREEN, COUNCILMEMBERS, PINEDA-ISAAC, DIAZ AND MERANTE:

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION AND FUNDING OF THE COSTS OF 100% OF THE COSTS OF A TRANSPORTATION PROJECT WHICH MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL-AID AND/OR STATE AID OR REIMBURSEMENT FROM BRIDGE NY FUNDS.

WHEREAS, the Ludlow Street Bridge (the "Bridge") over the Metro North Hudson River Line (BIN 2254720) in the City of Yonkers, Westchester County, identified as P.I.N. 8762.22, is in need of necessary repairs; and
WHEREAS, the repair and rehabilitation of the Bridge (the "Project") is eligible for funding under Title 23 U.S. Code, as amended, that calls for the apportionment of the costs such program to be borne at the ratio of 95% Federal funds and 5% non-federal funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yonkers will design, let and construct the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yonkers desires to advance the Project by making a commitment of 100% of the costs of the work for the Project or portions thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves the above-subject Project; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the City of Yonkers to pay 100% of the cost of construction, construction inspection, and construction railroad force account work for the Project or portions thereof, with the understanding that qualified costs may be eligible for federal-aid, state-aid, or reimbursement from Bridge NY funds; and it is further;
RESOLVED, the sum of $1,632,993, has been appropriated from the City's Capital and Grant Budgets and is available to cover the cost of participation in the above phase of the Project; and it is further
